The Rising Sun is a thriving independent community Gastropub located in the S10 (Fulwood) area of Sheffield (just a short walk from Ecclesall Road) providing an excellent selection of craft beer + real ale alongside a creative, seasonal food menu that aims to showcase the best of local produce with both modern and classical techniques. It has been the Abbeydale Brewery tap since 2005 and has recently been voted Sheffield & District CAMRA Pub of the Year 2022.

We believe in doing things the right way, so all our food is fresh and the vast majority locally sourced, including working with local allotment owners on a beer for produce scheme and other independent small businesses.

We are looking to fill a gap in our current Chef team with the addition of an experienced Sous Chef. We are looking for a team leader with an excellent work ethic, communication and organisational skills, who is passionate about the food they prepare and wants to bring their own personal creativity to our menu. Someone who enjoys training and supporting their team to progress and excel is essential. Training in allergens and Lvl 2 Food Safety will be given, if not already held.
