If you’re making a beery weekend of your trip to Sheffield and have the Rising Sun on your list, we’re here to help!

There’s absolutely loads to do in the area that isn’t just beer too, of course! The Rising Sun is situated in the leafy suburb of Fulwood, within easy reach of plentiful green spaces and fantastic local walks. Historical attraction Shepherd’s Wheel is close by, and the picturesque Forge Dam park and cafe is just a short walk away - from both of these destinations, you can also pick up the Sheffield Round Walk if you’re looking for a slightly bigger adventure!

Derbyshire is practically on the doorstep of the pub too, with easy access to the Peak District, including historic market towns Baslow and Bakewell, the caverns of Castleton, and the renowned Chatsworth House (which featured in the 2005 adaptation of Pride & Prejudice!)

Nearby hotels

Halifax Hall and Kenwood Hall hotels are both around a 30 minute walk from the pub, and Sheffield City Centre is just a short taxi or bus ride away.

Transport links

The 120 bus runs regularly from the city centre and will drop you off right outside the pub! The 83a is a little less regular but will also get you straight to the door.

The area is well serviced by Uber, and City Taxis can be reached on 0114 2393939 if a cab is more your style.
